世界連邦運動は、宇宙、地球は人類全体の共有であり、共生の場であるとの認識に立ち、国益優位の国連の体制を変革し、世界法による世界政府を樹立しようという運動です。
平成17年、国連創設および被爆60周年にあたり、我が国の国会ならびに政府は「日本国憲法の掲げる恒久平和の理念のもと、唯一の被爆国として、世界の全ての人々と手を携え、核兵器の廃絶、あらゆる戦争の回避、世界連邦実現への道の探求など、持続可能な人類共生の未来を切り開くための最大限の努力をするべきである」と決議し、国是といたしました。
この人類史上かつてない理想を実現させるためには、仏教の非暴力（無我）思想に立ち、寛容性を持った教えが、とかく先鋭化しやすい異民族間の紛争などを和解に導く為に大きな役割を果たすことと信じます。
世界連邦運動こそ仏教徒の本来の使命である衆生済度の実践であり、仏国土建設の現代バージョンと思って、お力添えをいただきますよう、お願い申し上げます。

Japan Buddhist Conference for World Federation
The World Federalist Movement is founded on the recognition that the universe and the Earth belong to all humanity in common and are a place of coexistence. It seeks to transform the present United Nations system, in which national interests take precedence, and to establish a world government under world law.
To bring about this ideal, unprecedented in human history, we believe that the Buddhist teaching of non-violence, rooted in the thought of non-self and imbued with tolerance, can play a great role in guiding toward reconciliation those conflicts between peoples that so easily grow extreme.
We regard the World Federalist Movement as nothing other than the practice of the true mission of all Buddhists — the salvation of all sentient beings — and as a modern-day form of building the Buddha Land. We sincerely ask for your kind support.
